All About The Memories

I have a lot to be thankful for and since it’s Thanksgiving in other parts of the world I’d like to take a moment and post it here.

I’m thankful for my daughter. She brings us so much happiness and we love her to bits. She’s a beautiful child and her loving nature just melts my heart.

I’m thankful for my husband. For being a good provider and a loving father. For being my partner and my friend. * I will be extra thankful if I could pry him from playing WOW so he could spend more time with me.

I’m thankful that I get to be a SAHM for me daughter. It wasn’t an easy decision and we have to make some sacrifices but seeing my daughter everyday and being the first one to see all her milestones makes it more than worth it.

I’m thankful for my little jobs online, knowing that I have a little something to contribute for my family’s needs is nice.

I’m thankful for the internet. I connect with friends all over the world, do my shopping and earn a little through the word wide web. * I will be extra thankful if I know a thing or two about online trading.

I’m thankful for coffee. It perks me up in the morning.

I’m thankful for my sister. For being a great aunt to Iyah and for helping around the house.

I’m thankful for Twilight, I finally have something else to do on my spare time (how little that might be) besides being on the computer.

I’m thankful for our cameras (DSLR and P&S). I have a lot of fond memories captures in photos.

I’m thankful for scrapbooking. I finally found a hobby I was able to hold on to for almost three years and I’m good at it too.

I’m thankful that we get to belong to a country that is safe and clean.

I’m thankful for playgrounds and community libraries, Iyah loves to go to both.

I’m thankful for friends…new and old, real life and online. It is great to have someone to talk to about anything and everything under the sun.

I’m thankful for the good health of my family, immediate and extended.

So it’s Friday once again. Our weekend started a bit earlier because hubby came home from work even before lunch time. He wasn’t feeling well but went to work still but as it turned out he really wasn’t feeling well and went home early. He rested here at home and took some medicine, we had pizza for lunch and the little girl is happy that her daddy is home. My sister is going out after work and since she’s been staying up late these past few days she might need acne treatment once again when she starts to breakout. We’ll watch the latest season of Heroes tonight I think when the little girl goes to bed. Nothing much going on here but I’m glad the weekend is here.

This is where I do most my work these days. When we were looking at computer desks to replace our old one I wanted to find a particular piece that will hold all my essentials in place without looking too cluttered. Luckily we found one and it was reasonable priced as well. This works well for me because I have my scanner and printer at one place when I need to use it. I like the light color of this wood table. There is a nice sunlight coming in from the window where this table is and I like that I don’t need to switch on the lights during the day. I will work on personalizing this table a bit more in weeks to come but for now I like how it looks. And by the way I keep it nice and clean like pictured above, always.

We had a tiring day here. Hubby and I were out for the most part of the day and I’m exhausted from all the walking. It didn’t help that I was wearing high heels as well, I’m not use to these shoes nowadays. To think that I use to hate the sight of Crocs footwear especially when there weren’t a lot of styles to choose from, now I love the comfort it gives my feet. Anyway aside from the fact that my shoes that made my feet achy it was a nice day. We got to have lunch and dinner out, just the two of us and it was fun. On our way home we saw some flats who already have their Christmas lights on, it made me think of Christmas cookies and the cooler weather in the coming months. I promised hubby we could put up the decorations after the little girl’s birthday.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I know friends are reading this blog from back home to find out how we’re doing. I’m quite busy these days, aside from the active toddler I’m trying to keep up with I’m also occupied with work. Yes I said work because it feels like it, lol. I’m actually working on a few projects with specific requirements and deadlines so it definitely feels like work to me. Unlike my office job before this one I love to do so I’m not readdly complaining here, I’m just saying that it keeps me occupied. Anyway who would complain when earning more shopping money right? I’m pleased with how my projects keep coming and I still do a bit of online work too so it’s pretty good. Everyone here is well too, although hubby did ask me to look into some life insurance quotes we got through the mail so I think I’ll do that in a while. So that’s it for now, more updates to come I promise.

So I went to one my my favorite online shopping stores and this was at the store front. It reminds me of Christmas. We’re now almost halfway through September and after my little girl’s birthday I will be preparing for Christmas shopping once again. I wonder what to give my sister this year. I suppose I could get her one of those talking watches she mentioned to me the other day. I better start browsing for ideas online and jot down possible gift ideas. It’s never too early to plan and budget Christmas shopping spending, I could start saving up for big ticket items too.

My husband bought himself a new xbox 360 streering wheel a few weeks ago. He loves his computer games alright. As much as I love the guy I hate seeing this thing in my living room. Why can’t he have toys that are relatively small, something that is not annoying to look at like this huge thing that is now gathering dust in my living room. I think from the time he got it he’s only used it three times because now he’s into RCs, I will post about this other toy next time but I will tell you it annoys me as much as this steering wheel does…maybe more.

Okay so I’m not working but I really look forward to weekends. Why? Well the hubby is here and he can help around the house (lol). No seriously it is nice to have everyone home, for one the little girl is thrilled to spend time with daddy. We usually go out too and the little girl is even more excited when we do. I’m not sure if can tomorrow though, it’s been raining on and off for the past couple of days (it’s raining right now) and I don’t want to take the little girl out if the weather is this gloomy. We don’t have to worry about our air conditioning compressor though because when it’s this cold due to rains we just shut it off. I’m really hoping for a good weather tomorrow so we could to Sentosa and I can practice taking pictures.
