What a day

Posted by Jacq under My blurbs

Today is a public holiday here because it was Vesak Day. We went to a BBQ/Swimming party with some friends. Iyah didn’t get to swim though because we came in the afternoon (it was a dinner BBQ afterall). Me and my sisters went swimming and hubby looked after Iyah and took photos of us (he’s a sweetie). I tried to “teach” both of them how to swim…it was hilarious because none of them would let go of my arm, how the heck are they going to learn right??!! Anyway it was so much fun.

She’s gonna learn

Posted by Jacq under My blurbs

A friend of mine will be going to Spain and live with her mom and stepdad in a few months. She have never been there before but she’s really excited about the move. She’s been preparing for it by learning the language, of course this is very important and I think it’s great that she’s making the effort. She’s so glad that there are online spanish course she could enroll at because she could learn faster. She thinks that Executive Language Training is the best she have seen on her hours of browsing online. They provide customized language courses to participant’s needs, learning style and professional goals and location and schedule is adapted to the participant’s requirements as well. She is working full time so this is great for her because the class is flexible to her schedule. Since ELT’s are geared toward executives and professionals with basic, intermediate or advanced level Spanish business language skills this could help her in finding a job once she is in Spain. Before she starts her classes she will have a thorough Needs Assessment to obtain individual goals, learning style and Spanish language training needs. This will make her course fully customized according to her needs. She’s really looking forward to starting her class and I wish her luck.

Close Open

Posted by Jacq under My blurbs

My baby girl can now close and open her hands and I’m so proud of this! I’ve been showing her how to do it for a few days now and this morning she was able to do it too. It is so great to watch your child learn new things and more importantly learn the things we, their parents teach them. I think it is amazing that I was given this gift to nurture and love such a beautiful baby and I’m always grateful that I have her.

Travel there

Posted by Jacq under My blurbs

I enjoy traveling and seeing new things and immersing myself in a culture different from my own. I think this is something that I’ve always wanted to do for as long as I remember. I’m lucky that my husband enjoys going to trips with me as well. Now that we have our little one though going to our travel escapades have become far less of a priority. I remember how we were suppose to go to New Zealand and Korea after we got married. We have everything planned and we were really going except I found out I was pregnant and we chose to save the money for the baby instead. Fortunately I found out about cheap flights to Egypt and other countries, now we can plan go for a vacation without spending so much on airfare.

Pirates

Posted by Jacq under My blurbs

Woohoo hubby and I watched Pirates of the Carribean, at World’s End tonight! We haven’t watched a movie for such a long time. The last one we saw was Click (Adam Sandler was the main character). Well Johnny Depp was there so I loved it. Among the three movies I loved the first one I think. As long as I see Captain Jack Sparrow on screen I’ll be fine though…lol. Oh if you’re going to watch the movie don’t go yet when you see the names of the casts and crew, there’s one more scene left so be patient and wait for it.

Speaking of movies, Shrek 3 is also showing this week. I’m not so sure hubby is keen on watching this with me as well. Oh well…

Birthdays

Posted by Jacq under My blurbs

I love birthday parties, I like how almost everyone I know come together in to celebrate a special occassion and how we get to chitchat. I enjoy watching the kids play and we parents mingle with each other. Oh and how can I forget the food, most of my friends cook really well and we go home stuffed all the time. Fun times! I was thinking of what I’m going to do for Iyah’s birthday. Sure it is still five months away but it never hurts to prepare ahead of time. Actually I’m not yet preparing anything, I do have ideas though. I hope to find good (and cheap) suppliers here. It is frustrating when I can’t find anything of reasonable price here. I have to decided on the venue first then the rest will follow I think. I have a theme on my mind but I’m still open to other options. Let’s see how it goes in weeks to come.

Loving Blinds

Posted by Jacq under My blurbs

I don’t like the curtains we have at the moment. Well the one we have at the living is plain white while the rooms have pale blues ones. I miss having window blinds like the ones I have in my bedroom at my parent’s house. It matches the color of my room perfectly and it is easy to clean and adds a modern feel to the room. It was just venetian blinds, nothing fancy but I love it. So I’m thinking of having blinds installed if we have a home of our own which is hopefully in the near future. I thought it would be nice to have roman blinds in soft colors. I would love a modern/contemporary style home and I think blinds would fit perfectly to the theme.

Photo Organization

Posted by Jacq under My blurbs

It is overwhelming to see all those digital photos on our server and yet very few printed ones to show it. We take a lot of photos each month and all of it are stored on our server. I use them on my layouts and only recently did I start to print each finished layout so really I can’t see the proof of just how much photos we have. I plan to change that. I don’t know how but I will. I just don’t want to feel overwhelmed anymore, I should start now or this will just continue to pile up. Photos won’t organize by itself so as tedious as this task is I should do it.

Visit Orlando

Posted by Jacq under My blurbs

If you are going to visit Walt Disney World then you should take as much time looking for a Orlando hotel as you would planning the whole Disney World tour altogether. Choosing a hotel to stay during vacation is important, of course getting the best deal on hotel accomodation, flight tickets and car rentals should be a top priority. Fortunately you can visit websites such as Orlando.com to check out the latest deals and the lowest prices available. I love how you can do almost everything on the internet these days. It makes life easier and more convenient. While in Orlando, Walt Disney World is not the only place worth checking out because Orlando also has high-end shopping areas and cultural venues aside from the six theme parks on the area. This is why it is important to  plan  for an Orlando vacation ahead of time .

Windows Vista

Posted by Jacq under My blurbs

I’ve been hearing and reading about this and hubby has been bugging me to upgrade from Windows XP to Vista. Well I won’t budge just yet. I’m quite happy with XP so I don’t see any reason why should I upgrade at the moment. I’m pretty sure he will finally convince me too but right now I’m staying put. He’s the tech guy between the two of us, I like to call him tech whiz because he does know an awful lot of stuff about computers and electronics stuff. I think most men are like that and I love that he could fix anything around the house. He’s my guy, my tech guy.
