All About The Memories

In our house that is. Our Christmas tree and the lights are up and Iyah loves looking at our tree. We’re not done with the decorations yet but its a good start. I’m getting excited about the holidays…there’s a lot to be done though. I need to get started on some mini projects I’d like to work on and continue with Christmas shopping.

I have to find outfits for the family and schedule an oppointment at the studio for our photos this year. I’m thinking red should still be our color like last year because Iyah has her outfit already (thanks to a gift). I need to find her dress shoes though, this proves to be difficult. I can’t find anything I like and I don’t want to order in the US again (I’ve already spent a lot on shipping). Anyway I think I’m gonna try a few more boutiques here and hope to find something soon.

We went out just the two of us yesterday. My sister had other plans and I really needed to go to the bank so Iyah and I went to the mall (the bank was at the mall). It wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be but I was so tired when we reached home. I was able to eat my lunch and she was contented just sitting on her stroller. I was talking to her and playing peek-a-boo while eating so she’ll be entertained. After that we went to the library and she had so much fun there. There’s a children’s section in the library where there’s small tables and chairs and books stacked in the middle so kids can pick want they want. Iyah was all over the place and I was running after her. Walking children are more tiring to take care off because you have to chase them and they don’t want you to hold their hand. Still it was fun though, for a few minutes we would sit and read books then she will walk (and run) again. Good thing the library was fully carpeted so I wasn’t worried she will hurt herself. She was also interacting with other kids, smiling at them and holding their hand…she knows how to socialize (lol). We stayed there for about an hour and she was so tired from all the playing that she fell asleep when I put her back to her stroller and didn’t wake up until we reached home. I will definitely be taking her to the library more often.

I was really excited when I was doing all the Wedding Planning for our big day almost two years ago, wow I can’t believe that it was that long ago. Anyway I was glad I got tons of ideas and inspiration on the internet. Yes sourcing out suppliers and ideas can be done online and you’ll find out that there’s more options on the internet than you can imagine. WeddingChannel.com was one of my favorite wedding websites I visited the site daily when I was still preparing for the wedding and once in a while after that. It was a huge treat finding great tips and beautiful ideas for flower arrangements and wedding favors online. They have an online gift registry too for couples wanting to register online it is a good place to start. What I love most about finding resources online is that it gave me a clearer perspective on how I wanted our wedding to be.

I was thinking that since Iyah’s going to be a 13 month old baby this month I should make a special dinner…but then I realized that I don’t have to anymore (lol). I’m going to miss that monthly special dinners I prepare to celebrate her birth-day but I don’t want to do it every month forever so I’ll stop. Anyway I will continue to post montly updates about her growth and development here though. And here it is…

So it was five in the morning and I just finished my Eping schedule, I was about to go back to sleep when I got a glimpse of my sweet little daughter sleeping soundly. I felt a teeny tug in my heart, she’s grown so much and she’s beautiful. I felt the urge to hug her so I scooped her up, she woke up for a bit (probabyly wondering why mommy is holding her) then went back to sleep. As I carry her and gaze at her face I felt this overwhelming love for this little person I’m holding. She’s just perfect and getting so big as each day pass by. I want to remember every detail, everything about her. Someday I won’t be able to carry her like this, so when I’m having my moment I will carry her…even if its five in the morning. 

A friend of mine has been asking me for advice regarding popular romantic honeymoon destinations. I’m so happy that she’s getting married to a great guy we’ve known for a long time. I told to check out Mexico Vacations since they both love the beach I think it is perfect for them. They have a lot of options when it comes to accomodations in Mexico and they should really look at each one and see which suits them best. There’s the Karisma Hotels which is a collection of divinely favored properties on secluded white-sand beaches on the Mexican Riviera Maya. Who doesn’t love white sand beaches? It would be the perfect spot to watch the sunset…oh so romantic. You got them from me, yes at one you already love your ice  cream. This afternoon Tita Joan was having a snack and she let you have a taste and you asked for more. You looked at her and mumble something and it was clear that you were asking for more ice cream. It was so funny you know how to ask for what you want, I just hope you won’t do this when we are in a toy store (lol) goodness I don’t think I can say no to your cute little face and that adorable smile. Anyway I only allowed a little more of the sweet treat and you’re done. Now if only you could show the same enthusiasm when I feed you carrots…

I have a friend who like me does all the research online before purchasing big ticket items. I find consumer reviews and product description helps a lot with my decision. Sometimes it can be a hassle doing this at the store because I don’t like pesky sales people following me all over the place telling me how great this product is. Well I think that not all of them are genuine about their comments, a sale is a sale and they need to sell stuff so they’ll do whatever it takes right? So for me going online is the only way to go. Just recently I found a website that makes searching for a specific appliance a breeze.
