I really want to watch this movie. I love Johnny Depp and any movie of his I want to watch, the problem is hubby doesn’t want to come with me. He doesn’t want to take the other option either which is to let me and my sister watch and he’ll look after Iyah. I was hoping to watch it on Monday, I have three more days to convince him to choose one of the options he has. Arrgh I really want to watch me some Johnny eye candy.

I got a notice that my pro account in Flickr will expire next week, oh what a bummer. My free Flickr pro days are over, lol. I got about four months of free pro account and I really enjoyed it. So I got myself a year pro account subscription this morning, yay! It was really a good price IMO and it is now my main photo account (no longer using my webshots account that much). I love that I can make a lot of sets and can upload full res photos and layouts in a jiffy. Oh and you can view my account here if you like to see my layouts.
So last night Iyah kept on climbing up and down our bed when it is suppose to be her bed time, at first I just let her play but when she kept doing it over and over I knew I should ask her to stop. I talked to her and told her that it was time for bed and she shouldn’t be climbing up and down the bed because she might have a bad fall…you know the mommy lecture. The little kiddo replied to me, “weh” and I was stunned! Oh my gosh she got that from me! It was so funny! I say this to hubby from time to time when he’s telling me something and I like to tease him. Now who got a dose of her own medicine? Lol. This baby girl really cracks me up.
Okay so time for breakfast, the Mcdonalds delivery guy will be here soon. We’ll have big breakfast and hotcakes…yummy! Have a nice day everyone!

Show these photos here. That’s me when I was about one year old (I think this was taken on New Year’s Eve seeing I have a torotot for a hat…lol) and Iyah’s recent photo, we still doesn’t look like me huh? Oh well I think it is still cute.
One of the routine questions Iyah’s pedia asked us when we went for her checkup and vaccine was if she can show her emotions and respond to affection. My answer was definitely a big YES. It is amazing how much little babies learn from the people around them. Iyah have always been a happy baby and I think the way we talk to her and give her love and attention is a great contributing factor to that. Eventhough I don’t understand anything she says when she talks I know she is telling me something, she is good in imitating the words we say and it so cute and amazing at the same time. She knows when I’m not happy with her and what she’s doing and would run to me for a hug when she sees my arms wide open. I love how she snuggles to me when I’m carrying her and when we’re in bed. I love the way she stares at me when I’m telling her something, yes we have good eye contact when we’re talking. She can cry on top of her lungs when you take away her toy or pacifier. She can give the biggest smile and her laughter is infectious when she’s happy playing with us or when she gets tickled. She watches Barney from beginning until the end, without getting distracted by her toys or us. Her face just brighten when she sees that purple dinosaur on TV. I’m happy that she’s growing and learning and I love her more each day.
I love the quiet time I get early in the morning when the sun is not up yet and everyone is still asleep. I get to enjoy my muffin and my coffee while checking emails and forums. A little me time before my day officially starts. Here I am now enjoying my morning and my two precious are still in bed. This is how I spend my mornings…and I like it.
Iyah and I were suppose to go to the playground but it rained so our plan was ruined. I got bored so I did this…

She got her First Hair Trim last Tuesday, January 15, 2008. Now I’ve never done anything like this before and I’m quite pleased with the outcome. It was raining and we didn’t have anything to do so I sat her down and gave her a toy while I snip her hair carefully. I’m just glad it’s not crooked.
Iyah got her vaccine today. We got to the hospital about twenty minutes late and by that time several patients came in before us so we waited a while. It was okay because Iyah enjoyed herself, she played and played and played some more. They have lots of toys, books and TV at the clinic so the kids are entertained. She loved socialising with other kids, she talks to them and tries to play with them too but she can happily play by herself which is nice. Whenever an adult approach us she would be her usual shy self, she will smile with matching cute eyes at the person talking to her but then she would quickly hide her face and hug me…this happens all the time and everywhere. She gets notice at the mall, the elevator, escalator, supermarket…sometimes I myself get a little shy…hehehe. What can I say she’s adorable (hmmm this is my blog so I can praise her all I want…lol).
Anyway while we were at the clinic I saw an old w@wie there too. Actually she saw me and called my name. Gosh I haven’t seen Vannie in years, we got married on the same month and we’ve exchanged emails during our wedding preparations. It was a surprise seeing her and her family today…at the clinic of all places. It turns out that she also gave birth at the same hospital and now her daughter’s pedia is from there too. Her daughter also got her vaccine today. Now when it was finally our turn to see the pedia Iyah was still playing happily, or course after the shot she wasn’t so happy anymore. She cried for a bit and then she got quiet, eventually she fell asleep too. He asked us questions about her and I’m pleased that everything looks great in his charts. She’s growing well. So that’s MMR vaccine off our list. We’ve scheduled her 5-in-1 booster shot three months from now so hopefully we’ll see the pedia then. I’m so happy that we’ve never seen the pedia for anything else other than her vaccines, I have a happy healthy baby! Oh I saw an article posted about online college courses on our way to the hospital.
Tomorrow we’re going to the hospital for Iyah’s Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccine. Iyah’s pediatrician is a neaonatal specialist therefore he doesn’t have a clinic elsewhere. I thought about changing pediatrician but since he is quite good and knows our princess since she was born we stuck with him anyway. It is great that I have a healthy baby girl we only visit her pedia for her vaccines.
The appointment was suppose be last Saturday but I had to reschedule. It is great that the hospital send sms the day before the appointment because sometimes I forget about it.
Of course I had to post this…
Your 15-month-old
How your toddler’s growing: Your baby is growing up fast these days, walking, talking a little, and probably even using a spoon or fork when she eats. Every game she plays, whether it’s pointing to different body parts when you ask her to or putting objects into containers and taking them out again, teaches her about the world around her. One of the things she’s learning is that she’s an autonomous entity, not just an extension of you. How can you tell if your child has grasped this concept? Watch her in front of a mirror; if she recognizes herself and isn’t trying to reach out and touch the “other” baby, she gets it.
How your life is changing: The way your child interacts with the world around her will tell you a lot about her temperament — how she’s likely to respond to different situations, people, places, and things. For example, some children are flexible and adapt easily to change, others need a more predictable schedule. You can modify your child’s environment to help her succeed. She’s depending on you to make her feel comfortable. By respecting her needs, you can help her develop to her fullest potential. Source: Babycenter.com
