My little princess has been doing a lot of fun (and not so fun) things lately and I can’t keep up blogging about it. It’s in my planner though I know the dates when I need to scrap some pages. She engages in pretend play now, she have this mini notepad that she flips through often (she doesn’t tear the pages but just flips through them) and utter some “words” like she’s talking about her notepad it is so cute. I try to make our everyday routine fun for her, like for instance I’ll let her switch on the lights while I’m carrying her and I’ll suddenly step back so she won’t be able to reach it (I get lots of laugh from her). I also let her do things (with my assistance of course) in the house like opening and closing the bathroom doors when she’s taking a bath or putting back toys to her toy bins. She knows the used of certain things in the house, like the feather duster and the fan. She knows to how to wipe her shoes in our rug before entering the house. She knows how to lie down by herself when she see me carrying a new diaper.

So now for my post:

I couldn’t find any other photo of hubby at this age so this is all I got. Even so you can see where Iyah got her hair…from her dad. They both have fine (very straight) hair. I had tons of baby bangs as a baby and she doesn’t. I guess she will benefit from her hair in the future, no need for rebonding like mommy (lol). You can’t see in these photos but she got her skin color from her dad as well. I think we have the same eyes? I’m not so sure. One thing though, almost all the people we know say that she does look like her dad.
Link me up if you do this tag. Have a great day!
Yesterday Iyah found a black pen and started writing doodles. It was fine until she decided my leg was as good as paper (lol). She ventured next to the floor, good thing I found out what she was doing before she made artwork on our walls. I will buy her those big crayons this week, and a huge manila paper too.
This morning she found our feather duster lying around, she quickly grabbed it and starting dusting the walls. Oh it was so cute. I managed to take some photos (that I haven’t downloaded from the memory card yet), very scrap worthy. Like Litzie said, she is a girly girl. I can see her being my little helper when she’s big enough.
I’m not sure if today is a sunny or cloudy day. I woke up to the sun shining this morning but this afternoon dark clouds are looming on the horizon, it seems like it’s going to rain tonight. I wonder if the weather is like this at the Outer Banks? Darn it I wanted to take Iyah out for a walk so I could buy coffee at the grocery store as well. I forgot about it yesterday and well hubby is not a fan of me drinking coffee so even if I remembered he would have stopped me. I am down to my last pack this morning and my morning me time is not the same without it.Oh well I’ll have to wait and see if it will indeed rain later.
We took Iyah with us when we went grocery shopping this morning, she was really happy because usually we leave her at home. It is so much faster when she’s not with us but I can’t say no to her when she started to cling on me when she knew we were going somewhere. She was good though, we had breakfast first before going to the grocery and she had waffles (she loves her waffles and pancakes). It was just tiring going back with all the groceries and an active little girl. Following her around is almost like exercise, if I do this everyday I won’t need a treadmill anymore.
We didn’t do much really but still it is nice to spend time with family on weekends. Hubby didn’t have work last Friday so it was a three day weekend for us.
We went to the mall and let Iyah loose at the playground, oh she had so much fun and was exhausted from all the running around she did that she fell asleep on our way home.
We did our grocery shopping so we won’t be starving in days to come.
I took a bunch of great photos of the little girl too. Oh I’m so pleased I have a lot of scrapping ideas that I don’t know where to begin.
Our house is clean and all the laundry have been folded (not by me I hate folding clothes).
We had a Mcdonalds craving last night so we ordered at 10:30pm, thank goodness they have an awesome delivery service.
The rest are usual stuff we do every weekend.
My mom likes gold jewelry eversince I can remember. That’s why I wasn’t surprised when she told me that she will start a collection of gold coin like her friend did. Anyway I told her I will help her look for more information about this on the internet. She didn’t know anything about Monaco Rare Coin until I’ve mentioned to her what I found out about them. The company is a part of the Monex family of companies, who is a trusted leader in precious metals investments for nearly 40 years. They have helped thousands of investors invest billions of dollars in hard asset investments including rare coins such as gold, silver and platinum bullion and bullion coins as well as other precious metals investments. They offer an impressive array of resources for investors and collectors alike. I know she will start a very small collection only but it is better that she knows as much about it as possible.
I didn’t fee like scrapping so this afternoon I went ahead and took a nap with Iyah. And we slept for four hours, that was a good nap indeed. I think it was boredom and not progesterone that made me sleepy (lol). I don’t really take naps during the day but I think my little girl sleeps longer when I’m sleeping beside her. She woke up with a smile on her face and her little “hey” greeting to me. So it was a pretty boring day but I sure did enjoy my nap.

I got this the other day for my ipod. I figured it is time to make it girly since hubby doesn’t use it anymore eversince he got a bluetooth headset for his phone. My sister found this cool website that sells all ipod skins, she got one and I ordered one for myself too. She wasn’t too happy that she doesn’t have much choices for her ipod nano and I get all the nice designs. I told her maybe she could go to http://www.buy.com and look for a new gadget she could get for herself since her birthday is two months away.

I don’t know where she learned this pose but yeah that’s pretty much what I get from her everytime I take pictures. I better find a decent angle, but she easily lose interest and by the time I find a good angle she’s running away from me again. And that’s her toothbrush she’s holding right there. She seem to think that it is better as a toy not a toothbrush.
