Formula One Singapore Grand Prix

Posted by iamjacq under My blurbs

Noooooooooooooooo!

This is what I said the minute I saw what happened at the Ferrari pit lane. My heart stopped for a second there I think, anyone who watches races like this knows that it is really exciting because a lot of things can happen. A few hours before the race started I was watching the sky, it was gloomy and it looked like it’s going to rain heavily. If you live here you know very well that the weather here is unpredictable, it could be sunny now and rain a few hours later. Luckily it didn’t rain and the race was on, we were excited (hubby and me) to see two red cars at the first two rows of the grid. Massa was first and my fave Kimi was third. Everything was going great for the Ferrari team (insert me cheering loudy in front of our TV, rofl) until Piquet had an accident and the safety car came out. When Massa went in to the pitt there was a system error and he was given the green light which meant he was good to go, but the pitt crew weren’t done yet so when he left with the fuel hose still attached to his car (which dragged the fuel guy and made him fall to the ground). It took a good few minutes before the Ferrari guys could catch up to him and take it out. Of course Kimi suffered too because he went to the pit shortly after Massa. Massa was given a drive through penalty and he had a punctured tire after that. Kimi went off into the wall at Turn 1. In other words no points from Ferrari. It’s so sad because they were doing so great. Now Ferrari is one point behind Mclaren-Mercedes for the contructor’s title and Massa is seven points behind Hamilton. There’s three more races to go this season, I hope they could still clinch the constructor’s title. There’s still a few more races to look forward to. It could have been great to have a Ferrari podium finish for the first race here but oh well better luck next time.

Massa On Pole Position

Posted by iamjacq under My blurbs

It’s a Ferrari 1-3 after the qualifying round of the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix. Yay! It was a great qualifying session and I’m really happy the Ferrari team is doing so well. We’ve been watching since the practice session and I hope their fast pace and great driving continues so both drivers end up at the podium tomorrow. This is going to be an exciting race!

Oh Pretty

Posted by iamjacq under My blurbs

Seriously how yummy are these colors? Makes me think of pretty and girly. These are a bunch of Victoria’s Secret products my dad will be buying for us. I don’t spend a lot of beauty products really and I have a fairly good skin so I don’t need the best acne treatment which I’m really grateful for. Since VS is cheap we always ask our dad to shop for us there. Yes my dad is the kind of guy who doesn’t mind shopping for girly things for his girls (he’s the only guy in our family) and his shopping at VS isn’t limited to the beauty products, he gets us other things from there too. I guess if you have three daughters you don’t have much choice, lol.

Formula One is here!!!

Posted by iamjacq under My blurbs

I’m so excited! I went to the F1 website this morning and they already have pictures of the race car drivers and the Marina Bay circuit. Oh this is going to be one exciting race! It’s the first night race in Formula One history and the first street race in Asia too. I know that security is really tight around the area since Monday, we were in the vicinity yesterday and a lot of roads were already closed to the public. I bet they’ve installed a lot of spy camera for added security. It’s so sad that we’ll just watch it on TV this year but hopefully next year we get to watch it live. Of course hubby and I will be cheering for the Ferrari team and I will be cheering for Kimi Raikkonen….GO KIMI!!! Can you tell I’m a huge F1 fan?! If you can’t then I will tell you that I am.I hope Kimi gets a great qualifying round so and finishes the race on the podium. Oh this is one exciting weekend. Woohoo for Formula One!!!

TGIF Again

Posted by iamjacq under Writing

So it’s Friday once again. Our weekend started a bit earlier because hubby came home from work even before lunch time. He wasn’t feeling well but went to work still but as it turned out he really wasn’t feeling well and went home early. He rested here at home and took some medicine, we had pizza for lunch and the little girl is happy that her daddy is home. My sister is going out after work and since she’s been staying up late these past few days she might need acne treatment once again when she starts to breakout. We’ll watch the latest season of Heroes tonight I think when the little girl goes to bed. Nothing much going on here but I’m glad the weekend is here.

My Creative Space

Posted by iamjacq under My blurbs, Writing

This is where I do most my work these days. When we were looking at computer desks to replace our old one I wanted to find a particular piece that will hold all my essentials in place without looking too cluttered. Luckily we found one and it was reasonable priced as well. This works well for me because I have my scanner and printer at one place when I need to use it. I like the light color of this wood table. There is a nice sunlight coming in from the window where this table is and I like that I don’t need to switch on the lights during the day. I will work on personalizing this table a bit more in weeks to come but for now I like how it looks. And by the way I keep it nice and clean like pictured above, always.

Sooo tired

Posted by iamjacq under Writing

We had a tiring day here. Hubby and I were out for the most part of the day and I’m exhausted from all the walking. It didn’t help that I was wearing high heels as well, I’m not use to these shoes nowadays. To think that I use to hate the sight of Crocs footwear especially when there weren’t a lot of styles to choose from, now I love the comfort it gives my feet. Anyway aside from the fact that my shoes that made my feet achy it was a nice day. We got to have lunch and dinner out, just the two of us and it was fun. On our way home we saw some flats who already have their Christmas lights on, it made me think of Christmas cookies and the cooler weather in the coming months. I promised hubby we could put up the decorations after the little girl’s birthday.

I’m still alive

Posted by iamjacq under Writing

Sorry for the lack of updates, I know friends are reading this blog from back home to find out how we’re doing. I’m quite busy these days, aside from the active toddler I’m trying to keep up with I’m also occupied with work. Yes I said work because it feels like it, lol. I’m actually working on a few projects with specific requirements and deadlines so it definitely feels like work to me. Unlike my office job before this one I love to do so I’m not readdly complaining here, I’m just saying that it keeps me occupied. Anyway who would complain when earning more shopping money right? I’m pleased with how my projects keep coming and I still do a bit of online work too so it’s pretty good. Everyone here is well too, although hubby did ask me to look into some life insurance quotes we got through the mail so I think I’ll do that in a while. So that’s it for now, more updates to come I promise.

New Lens

Posted by iamjacq under My blurbs

This is my alpha with the new 18-250mm lens we got last weekend. It is heavier than the 18-70mm kit lens we had but it’s not that bulky. I have to get use to it still. The zoom in capability of this lens is quite intimidating but I’m loving it. I can take photos of the little girl while she’s doing her own thing without me disturbing her. I like taking everyday photos so this works really well for me.

Now next on my wishlist is the 50mm f1.4 macro lens. Santa Claus are you reading this????

Good morning

Posted by iamjacq under My blurbs

I hope everyone is having a nice Wednesday morning so far. I took this photo a little before 7am today. It doesn’t look like it’s fit for a digital signage, I’m still learning how to use my camera and auto setting is my friend right now. It looks like it’s going to be a great day to go outdoors, I hope it stays that way. The weather here is so unpredictable, it could be sunny in the morning then rain heavily in the afternoon, then sunny again. It is wise to have an umbrella in your purse all the time, you don’t want to get caught unprepared unless you fancy singing in the rain (rofl).
