All About The Memories

Later tonight, and I’m not yet done packing (lol). Well I’ve done most of it but it’s a bit tricky to pack the little girl’s essentials like feeding bottles and formula. We also got some snacks from the grocery to bring with us as well as several bottles of mineral water since I’ve read it’s not safe to drink tap water in the highlands sometimes. It’s better to be safe especially with a toddler in tow. I couldn’t care less if the hotel uses industrial knobs or not but I’d have peace of mind if I know the drinking water is safe. Anyway we’re going by a first class coach so the seats are big and comfy pretty much like a recliner so I think we’ll still be able to sleep. I actually like long travels like this one (much to my husband’s dismay) because I enjoy looking at the scenery even it’s just endless roads and mountains. This is also our first time travelling with a toddler and I’m hoping it goes well.

Before I had my daughter I promised myself that I won’t let my house be one of those homes where there’s toys everywhere. Well a few years later with now a toddler in the house it is proving to be so hard to keep up. It doesn’t help that the said toddler takes her toys all over the house and leaves it there. Oh boy I pick up scattered toys several times a day. I’m telling my husband we need one of those bigger tv stands so there will be room to keep dvds and books in the living room without cluttering the place.Things will be different when she gets her own room and there will be a place where she can clutter put all her things in. Oh I can’t wait for that day to come.

We went to church and when we got home it was gift opening time for us. The little girl wasn’t really interested in tearing the wrapping paper but she was certainly very happy to see the gift inside.

When she saw the toys she liked she stopped cooperating with the picture taking and started to play, lots of others toys and clothes weren’t photographed.

Some family pictures. Yes we’re all wearing green. We do this every year, wear matching colored shirts (dress for the little girl)…it’s like our little tradition. Next year we’ll go back to red I think. We leave for our post anniversary vacation tomorrow night so I’ll start packing tonight.

We’ll be celebrating Christmas eve with friends later and I’m sure there’s going to be lots of food. Right now I’m just going about my daily routine, not exactly my typical routine since hubby is here to look after the little girl while I try to organize things around the house. I’ve noticed we have a lot of used cds in our drawers, I don’t have any idea if all of it are still working and I don’t want to find out. I’m sure these are cds we can afford to lose since it’s not properly kept in cases. I don’t know what to do with these, there’s just so many and I hate tossing it in the rubbish bin. Perhaps I could ask my husband to checkout AbundaTrade and see if they’ll accept items such as these cds, who knows we could trade our cds for some new gadgets we’ll definitely use. I like the idea of trading used items for something of value such as cool gadgets. In a way it’s recycling so it’s good for the environment and who doesn’t want to have the latest gadgets right. This inspires me to do more deep cleaning, maybe I could find more items we could trade.

Today we celebrate our third wedding anniversary and we did it by going to a wedding I think it was nice seeing anothe couple exchanging vows the very day we’re celebrating ours. It brings back fond memories, my wedding is one of the happiest and most memorable day of my life and I could say it was the same for my husband too.

When we got home we were greeted by the best blessing that came shortly after our wedding, our little girl.

It can be a challenge packing things for a short vacation when you have a toddler in tow. It seems like I can’t leave anything behind, it feels like I will need everything for the little girl. It won’t be a problem if we have Swiss Army luggage that is spacious enough to hold everything in but since the smallest luggage we have could only handle so much I have to really pack light and take only what is important. Our other luggage were too big so I’m stuck with this little Samsonite and while it is sturdy I wished it is a bit bigger. Wish me luck in packing, only a few more days before our vacation, I have to keep moving.

Every year hubby and I usually don’t give each other presents on the day of our anniversary. I usually just pile up all his gifts under the Christmas tree and have him open everything on Christmas day. Today I had no idea at all that he got me something. Before we left for the mall he told me that he’s waiting for a package so I asked my sister to wait for it (since we’re going out). He told me that the package were the Tamiya parts he ordered for his RC. He always get stuff from Tamiya so I believed him. Little did I know that the package was for me. When we got home later that afternoon I found my Everyday Minerals makeup in the mailbox and was excited to try it out. I spent quite sometime in the bathroom using the products, I still didn’t think anything was up although I was surprised when hubby shut the bathroom door (sort of locked me in). Imagine my surprise when I walked out and found all my Twilight books, calendar and movie companion piled up on my desk (I’m thinking who the heck touched my things…my Twilight stuff…they should know better not to mess with them), when I got closer I found that it was concealing something….

It was hiding this beauty. I was totally surprised! I had no idea he would come up with something like this. It took me like 20 seconds to realized that it was indeed a surprise for me. I read the card and was already thanking him for the flowers then I saw the little box and inside it was a nice necklace/earrings set for me. Thanks a lot for the surprise Babe, Happy 3rd…Love you!

We’ve been invited to spend Christmas eve at a friend’s house and knowing them I know there’s going to be a lot of food. Knowing me I won’t be able to resist (lol). I’ve been thinking how much I let myself go this year and I’m really hoping I could get back on track in 2009. No I don’t think I will need weight loss pills just yet nor I’ll be brave enough to try taking one but I’d like to shed a few nasty pounds that doesn’t seem to go away (but instead keep on adding up). I don’t want to go all whinny about it (afterall I have no one to blame but me, and maybe Starbucks and french fries) so I’ll just deal with it…next year though. For now let me enjoy all the yummy and fatty food

We leave for Cameron Highlands in a few days but I haven’t started packing anything yet. I have a mental list of things that I need to pack and on top that list are the little girl’s things. Having a toddler means lot of items to bring for the trip like feeding bottles, formula, fruit juice, diapers, snacks, baby wipes, changing mat and other little things that we cannot afford to forget. It’s not like I got las vegas hotel reservations for the family but that doesn’t lessen the luggage though. I still look forward to this trip, I’m quite excited actually. I want to see how well the little girl can handle this trip then maybe we could make plans to go somewhere again on Chinese New Year or National Say.

After we watched Twilight last Saturday I told my husband that once it comes out on DVD I’ll be buying a copy right away. Of course he knows about Twilight addiction already so this didn’t surprise him anymore. Now if only have a nice home theater seating like the Gold Class seats from the cinema it would be perfect. I have a stock of popcorn here so it would be like watching it in the cinema all over again. Yes if you haven’t noticed I still haven’t had enough of Twilight.
