All About The Memories

Yesterday we went to Ikea and Courts to window shop for furnitures and appliances. Hubby and I like to discuss the things we would like to have in our own home and I like showing him ideas on how to spruce up the place. Thank goodness Ikea is just a minutes away from our place. If it was a typical Sunday the place would be packed but since it’s Chinese New Year it wasn’t (which was great). Even the restaurant wasn’t packed. Oh we saw VJ Utt too. Actually it was hubby who saw him first. He looks so much cuter in person, flawless skin and a bit more fair than on tv. I don’t think we was there for a TV show or something because no camera was following him around he was also carrying a 7-pc good storage container when we saw him so probably he was shopping (lol I’m assuming here). Okay so back to us, we definitely got a lot ideas just by looking at the showrooms…it was fun.

It’s a non working holiday here today and tomorrow. Hubby only needs to go to work on Thursday so he’ll be home for the most part of the week. We can’t go anywhere today and tomorrow, even the grocery store is closed so we stocked up our fridge yesterday. Most people are either enjoying reunion dinners with their families or on their way to a little vacation. I’m thinking some are probably trying Orovo detox while have a few days off work.

2009 is a big year for us. This year we are going to make two goals happen. For first B = buy a flat. This is a big step but we feel it’s time for us to have a home of our own and I couldn’t be more excited. Though I’m not excited about the price of flats these days we don’t have a choice but go with the current market trend. We can wait but then we’ll be putting our money to rent which is a waste when we can buy now and get settled. Besides we’ll have a much smaller monthly installment than our current rent and we’ll be paying off our own house. I’ve been chatting with my friend Litzie about the decorating opportunities and we’re both excited about it…hehehe.

Another reason we want to buy our own flat is our second B = baby #2. Yes we want to get pregnant with our second baby this year. Iyah is going to be three years old this year and we feel the timing is just right. Before the baby comes I want us to be in our own home.

That’s two big Bs we wish to fulfill this year.

When my sister in law went back home after her employment contract was up she wasn’t able to take everything with her. Fortunately there’s a lot of shipping boxes here and we were able to put her things in storage. Boxes are a huge space saver in our storage room. It keeps everything in place and we just stack them up and label them properly so we know that’s inside.
