There’s going to be one public holiday next month and hubby and I are talking about planning a trip. I don’t think it will involve rv towing and we won’t go very far but a change of scenery would be nice. Somewhere where we can relax and the little girl can have fun. My husband suggested Sunway Lagoon (in Malaysia) so it will be on my list of possible places. I have a month to look for cheap packages online (maybe I can stretch our budget to go farther than Malaysia, we’ll see). I’m definitely looking forward to this trip, I hope to make it happen.

I’m really not expecting to go anywhere until next year although some holiday invitations by friends was so tempting but since hubby suggested we could go for a short trip, who am I to say no? I should really go to Chinatown and checkout travel packages from different travel agencies there. It is such a pain to go there alone with my little girl though. There’s lots of people and it’s quite far from our place too. Maybe this weekend when hubby can go with us. That is if our visit to the birdpark don’t push through, since the little girl enjoyed her visit to the zoo we thought she’d love the birdpark as well. We’ll see how it goes….
Last August 16 we went to the zoo. I thought this time around Iyah will enjoy seeing all the animals in their habitats and not just on TV or in her books (and I was write). I will post more about our day next time, for now I’d like to share some pictures I took….a tribute to all the monkeys at the zoo

The river like the rest of our small country is very clean. I wonder if they use pond supplies for the cleanup but I didn’t see any trash floating on the river during the cruise. My little girl wanted to walk towards the edge of the boat which was deathly scary for me, good thing my Dad was there to hold her. It was a relaxing 30 minute cruise along the Singapore river, something about the water is calming and eventhough we spent the entire day going to different places I felt less tired afterwards.
I made this for dinner last night, and it was yummy. Now do you still wonder why I can’t lose weight? Lol. I love pasta, I love pasta in white sauce even more. If I have a stash of the best weight loss supplements I will eat pasta everyday. My husband on the other hand is not such a big fan, he’d rather have spaghetti. I make good spaghetti sauce (according to hubby and my parents so I think it’s true) so he likes me to prepare this from time to time. It’s not going to be anytime soon though because my waistline won’t appreciate all the calories (lol).
I love a quiet morning with my cup of coffee and magazines to peruse before it gets busy around here. Just a little alone time before a little person yells “mommy where are you?!” from across the hall, it’s a perfect way to start my day. It’s so fun that the latest Ikea catalog came last night and the latest issue of Home & Decor is out too.
I saw some fun lighting accessories there and I can’t wait to show my husband what I found, I’ve already bookmarked some favorites. I love reading magazines and browsing online for ideas and inspiration. Our home will always be a work in progress I guess. There’s gonna be little things that I will add here and there eventhough I love the our home the way it is now.
Hubby offered to buy me Ben and Jerry’s when we were buying groceries. Oh this is so not good for my waistline but I couldn’t say no, what can I say I have a sweet tooth. I might as well browse online for the best diet pills now, at least I won’t be as guilty when I eat (lol). For the record I shared this with my little girl, I’m not the only one who loves cakes and ice cream. I love the look on her face when she sees dessert. Too bad I wasn’t able to take pictures of her while she was eating, the satisfied look on her face was so cute.
