All About The Memories

Weekly Round Up #12

Tuesday. Iyah and I went to the mall. Just the two of us, without a stroller. I was surprised it was a good experience. I thought after lunch we’ll be heading home for sure but no, I was able to shop for some cute tops and get her slippers to wear around the house.

The rest of our weekdays were pretty much the same, a trip to the grocery and a little bit of rain.

Coffee filled weekend.

Saturday we went to Sony Centre to buy me a brand spankin’ new lens (ROFL). It is a mall we don’t frequent anymore but that’s the nearest place to get the lens. When we got there they told us that they don’t have the lens in stock (we were told that it is selling well). Good thing we asked them to call other outlets and they did, they asked someone from another branch to bring the lens there so we had to wait for a couple of hours. Rather than going back there again we decided to wait for the lens, so we had about two hours to kill and it was spent window shopping. When our feet got tired we stopped by McCafe for coffee (and snacks for the little girl too).

That’s two cappucinos for us…

And yes she’s lovin’ it!

After that we went back to Sony and the lens was there (will blog more about this in a separate post), we got it and left. We went to another mall though where we got new sofa covers, hubby’s guitar case from Yamaha, Ali Edwards’ new book for me and Auntie Anne’s to take home. It was a good day.

Sunday. We had to go the Phil. Embassy because we need to fix Iyah’s passport. In more than six years I’ve been living here I’ve never set foot at the embassy until yesterday. And hubby wasn’t kidding when he told me that it is an old house and people have to wait outside in what looked like a garage. Yes even abroad we don’t have much progress when it comes to governments offices. Oh don’t worry about the employees though they are inside the embassy(house) with aircon and it is only us, paying customers had to endure the heat outside. The little girl and I stayed in the parking lot area because she was a lot of people inside (by inside I mean under the roof). Here’s a stolen photo I got using my cel.

The bricked house on the right is where the counters are and we have to wait under the green roof for our name to be called. There wasn’t enough seats or fans (and space for that matter) so we didn’t go inside and I just let hubby take care of the documents. I don’t mean to be whiny about this but I was really disappointed, you’d think because this is a government office abroad it will be a little better but as you can’t see it is definitely not. Reminds me of the covered basketball court where people line up to get their passports at DFA. Oh and I should also mention that they charge us $100 (almost 3k pesos) for our passport?

After that we went to Vivo City because I wanted to checkout Toys R’ Us. We stopped by Coffee Bean for coffee again.

That’s two regular Mocha ice blended coffee for us.

Hubby is not a huge fan of coffee but I was able to persuade him. We also got a blueberry muffin but the girl stuck a fork in it and proceeded to eat so no photo of that one. She also thought that the whipped cream on our coffee was ice cream and wanted some (lol).

So that’s my weekly roundup, thanks for reading.
