Now that I go out everyday to drop off and pick up the little girl at school I pay more attention to my skin. I’m a little fair so I don’t do much to my skin except slather lotion but now that I get exposed to afternoon sun five times a week I’m thinking on how to protect my skin. I would probably get exposed skin care if it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Don’t get me wrong I’m not worried about my skin color, I’m scared of skin cancer. It’s the perfect timing for her class because she takes her afternoon nap when we get home but I do have to bring umbrella everyday to shield us from harmful UV rays (now I sound like a TV commercial, lol). Hopefully next year when she’s at kindergarten we can get a slot at a school near our place so I won’t worry about sun exposure anymore.

My husband got me this as an early birthday present (that’s the story anyway I know he will get me something on my birthday) and I’m one happy momma. It wasn’t the original plan though, I was suppose to get an Omnia II (I had an Omnia I) but when I was about to make the purchase I found out that it was out of stock and that I had to make a reservation to get it. Now who wants to make a reservation and wait? Definitely not me, so I asked him if I could get the iphone instead. My husband didn’t like the idea at first but he gave in, so two days later it was delivered to our house. How wonderful it is that they do delivery when you buy a phone?! The queue at M1 is always long so we opted to have it delivered, it takes working days after you make the payment but that still beats waiting in line for an hour. As it turns out having the Omnia II out of stock was a blessing in disguise because I love my iphone! Oh Iyah loves it too, I’ve already downloaded a lot of apps for her and she plays with it after her afternoon nap. I will share my favorite apps in another post, I’m still browsing iTunes
My mom was talking to me about colon cleanse when I called her last night. I wanted to know if she already shipped my Starbucks planner and ended up having a conversation about detox and colon (lol). Anyway, I think she wants to give this try, come to think of it my mom would up for anything related to health and medicine. I told her I’ve heard a lot of good feedback from people who did this treatment before and she could try it if she wants to. We also talked about my sister’s upcoming prom and the little girl of course. My daughter is their first grandchild and they love her to bits. My dad calls often to talk to her, I’m glad that the little girl sings and talks to Daddyloo. Good thing I have a lot of phonecards for overseas call, we end up talking longer every time.
It’s no surprise that all of us gained weight during over the holidays. Blame it on all the yummy good and the oh so good leche flan we’re all a few pounds heavier come January. I don’t mind though, there’s no way I was going to pass up on Noche Buena food. I might consider getting alli diet pills though so I can lose the weight faster (lol I won’t though). I’m getting some sort of exercise dropping off and picking up the little girl from school (that’s what I want to think anyway) and I’m cutting down on carbs so I’m hoping that should do the trick.
I love that I get to do a lot of things online. I love playing games online, and shopping too. It’s nice that I get to buy what I want without leaving the house, I get good deals too especially on ebay. I’m cautious whenever I do any transaction online though, goodness knows we should get identity theft protection because there’s a lot of crooks out there looking to prey on other people. This is why I’m thankful for paypal, I get to make online purchases without disclosing my debit card information.

We watched Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 with my sisters at GV Bishan Junction 8 today. My sister Joy haven’t been to that mall yet and it was much nearer than Plaza Singapura so we chose to go there. Iyah enjoyed the movie a lot, she enjoyed the popcorn too
It was an okay movie for me I guess, the animation was great but it was more of a kids movie. I can’t wait for the next movie date with the little girl.
A friend of mine was planning on coming here to look for a job next month. He’s going to be staying with a cousin of his while he’s on a job hunt, he sent me a message on YM the other night was asking about the employment rate here over the past few months. The last time I read about it employment rate was 2.95 million in September 2009. I’ve been a SAHM since my daughter was born so I told him I’m not really following news on the job market. I wished him luck though, I know a lot of people have been coming here to look for a job and a lot of them end up getting one. I think it’s a matter of how qualified you are for the position you are applying, how good you present yourself in an interview, a lot of prayers and a little bit of luck on your side.
My dad is in Florida right now, not for one of those florida vacations but he’s there for work. While I constantly tell him how lovely it would be to go on vacation there with hubby and the little girl he’s quite used to being there already. His works allows me to see different countries and he’s been to Florida for I don’t know how many times. I guess when your work involves traveling to places it can get old too. But for someone like me it would be an adventure of a lifetime, if only budget is not an issue.
When we were choosing furnitures for our house I bought a lot of different home decorating magazines to help us source out a list of stores from different places. It was our first time to shop for big furnitures pieces so I wanted to make sure we go to the right places. We didn’t want to spend so much on furnitures but we don’t want to scrimp either, we wanted reasonably priced items that would last. We went to various stores first before deciding where to buy, we saw a lot of beautiful contemporary coffee tables and sofas but a lot of them were way over our budget. Good thing we found one that was well within our budget without compromising on style. I think to find what you like you really have to look around, seeing that these furniture won’t be replaced anytime soon I’m glad we took our time in choosing.

Merry Christmas! This was our family picture taken on Christmas eve. We had a simple Noche Buena after hearing the mass and everybody wore red
It has been a little tradition that we wear the same color shirt/dress on Christmas . It was really nice having my MIL, Mom and Sister come celebrate the holidays with us. This is an extra special occasion because it is our first in our own home.

Our little family. Iyah wanted to take off her Christmas dress when we got home so I changed her into something more comfy, good thing the dress was sort of red too.

Me and the girls. Oh how wonderful it is to have sisters and a daughter
And yes I don’t mind having another girl at all.
We weren’t able to take pictures of the food (I know!), nobody remembered I guess because everyone wanted to eat….hehehe.
