I can’t wait to get the new battery for the motherboard of my computer. I almost always need to adjust the BIOS settings every time I turn on my computer because it kept restarting. I might get ask hubby for a new antivirus software too when he fixes the motherboard. I let him maintain my computer and tackle the firewall and antivirus software so I can surf the web without worrying about the security of my information online (especially because I love shopping online). This might have to wait until his vacation leave starts, he’s quite busy at work these days. I just think it is important to always have the latest and most efficient antivirus software because of all the spyware and email-borne threats that could compromise important information like credit card numbers when one isn’t fully protected. I hate the thought of being vulnerable to such threats therefore I want an antivirus software that works but doesn’t disrupt the speed of my computer.

I’ve been reading about life insurance leads since my mom asked me about life insurance quotes a few weeks back. She’ll be coming here in a few weeks with my sister so we could talk about it then. It would be easier to show her the spreadsheet I made with life insurance quotes from various insurance providers that I got online than over the phone. She will be bringing lots of things for me as well so I’m looking forward to that. I must remember to send her the list of food items we’ll be using for Noche Buena that would be cheaper to buy back home than from the asian food stores in Lucky Plaza. I’m so glad I won’t be cooking this year 
I’m excited to stroll around Orchard Road to admire all the Christmas decorations and Golden lighting that makes the place all merry and bright. It’s going to be crowded but I’m hoping we’ll end up with lots of decent photos to post online and scrap with. I know the little girl will love all the twinkling lights and the cute big Christmas trees. We might squeeze in a little shopping while we’re there, we don’t go to Orchard these days…I don’t like that it gets really crowded there on weekends and it’s a challenge when you have a little one in tow. But we’ll brave the crowd just so we could see the Christmas light up and Ion Orchard as well.
I seriously don’t know what to get my husband. There’s the usual new clothes for him but I don’t really have a Christmas gift for him. I like telling him what I want to get, it’s good to be specific that way he won’t have a hard time getting it for me and I’m sure to love what I’ll get. I would like him to do the same so that I’ll know what he wants. He’s the kind of guy who doesn’t ask for much, so I’m a little lost. I usually buy everything for me (except for gadget related items) and clothes doesn’t really count as a gift. He can’t make up his mind on what he wants to buy, honestly he went from wanting a Wii (which I think counts as a family gift), to an electric guitar, to another bass guitar, to a belt….A BELT! I’m telling you he changes his answer everyday, so until now I haven’t bought anything for him. There’s no way I’m going to get him a belt for Christmas and call it quits (but I asked my sister to buy that for him) and I also asked my mom to buy him lots of shirts so he won’t end up without any presents under the tree come Christmas morning. I hope he could at least give me an answer before the 20th so I can have time to shop for it (or order it) and have it wrapped.
My MIL is here! She arrived last night, since the little girl went to bed early it was only hubby who picked her up from the airport. This is not like an orlando vacations for her, she’s been here lots of times. It’s great that she get to spend time with our family, we’re excited to have her. I hope the little girl doesn’t get so shy around her, she will be at first but I hope she’ll be close to her just like she is with her DaddyLoo (my dad). This is going to be a great Christmas because our house will be filled with our loved ones to celebrate it with
I have to admit I don’t fancy visiting my OB GYN for those yearly tests, if I have a choice I’d rather not go at all. Sure she is a nice doctor, lovely with patients and gentle but being prodded in one of those exam tables is something I don’t look forward to. I have to admit the medical equipment she uses in her clinic seem to be top of the line. I do like that the tables come with leg extension so I can be as comfortable as I can (given what is going to be done) and that the staff are all nice. I don’t have any bad comments about their service at all.
It’s part of my morning routine to turn my computer on and check emails in the morning while I drink my coffee. Today my routine was disrupted because my computer won’t turn on, well it turns on alright but it keeps restarting over and over (it doesn’t even reach the part where i have to enter my password). I thought the problem was caused by my external hard drive but according to my husband the battery of my motherboard needs replacement since it’s already more than three years old. Now I have to adjust the BIOS settings everytime I have this problem while I wait for the battery. We’re just so busy with a lot of things right now that a trip to Sim Lim is not going to happen until things slowed down a bit. My husband knows I get a little crazy when my computer is not working right (lol) so I know he’ll fix it for me soon, gotta love a husband who is handy around the house and can assemble a computer from scratch…one of the many many reasons why I love him.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Just like that December is here! I’m so excited about Christmas this year because….
It’s our first Christmas in our own house.
Bong’s mom will be here (arriving on the 5th).
My mom and youngest sister will be here (arriving on the 22nd).
…so we’ll have a nice Christmas and New year celebration here.
I’m also looking forward to our annual Christmas party. I’ve started shopping for Christmas presents (it feels so good to cross people off my list). The only thing I have to worry about is hubby’s gift, he can’t make up his mind on what he wants.
The decorations are up and I love seeing all the twinkling lights. I will be reading Iyah Christmas stories this month and she’s excited about it too (we bought two Christmas storybooks).
Tis the season to be jolly indeed.
I keep getting phone calls and flyers on my mailbox about insurance quotes and sometimes it can be annoying. I know that having a good insurance is important and all but yes if you get two to three calls in one day about it I can’t help but get a little annoyed. Anyway we just renewed our health insurance, we switched to another insurance company which by husband said offers a more comprehensive coverage and I trust his judgment. I’m thankful for our good health but it’s good to know what we have a good health insurance if we need one.
Getting a decent education can be pretty expensive, that is why more and more students take advantage of college student loan to make sure they finish their college degree. As parents we are trying to save up and prepare for our little girl’s future, it’s important that we provide her the best education we can afford for her. It’s our job to provide for our children and naturally we want to give them everything because we love them.
