Who knew I could get a chance to see this amazing structure, and with my family no less. Our trip to Australia was really wonderful and we had a great time not just in Sydney but in Canberra as well. Sydney was a lovely city, we didn’t have any problems getting around and even with the rain we managed to have fun. If you ask my daughter she will say that she enjoyed riding the ferry, the view was just beautiful.
I’m not someone who also have great jewelry whenever I go out, in fact I almost gave up accessorizing completely when I had my first child. There’s just too much pulling and tugging my necklace and bracelet that I decided it’s not worth all the trouble. When my daughter got older and she stopped messing around with my jewelry I started wearing them again but just one or two at most. But then I had my baby and we’re back to where we were years before, so for now all my jewelry will stay inside the box, it’s just too much hassle telling off a baby who think mommy’s necklace is a fun toy. I know we will outgrow this phase and I can go back to accessorizing again, someday.
I love reading books and I read as much as I can when I have the time. Of course my spare time varies from ten minutes to an entire afternoon depending on my kids so sometimes it takes me a while to finish one book sometimes I finish one overnight. I’ve switched to reading ebooks exclusively now, it just make more sense to do so and I like it a lot. I don’t have much space our bookshelf so having ebooks are great, I can buy all the books I want without worrying about where to put them. I also have all my books with me at all times so I can read whenever I want. I know a lot of people are debating between kobo vs kindle, for me as long as I can read my books I’d be happy. Different people have different preferences so some may like one better than the other. I think I would go for a kindle, the model that not only reads ebooks but also allow me to surf the net.
I was thinking of buying myself a necklace for Christmas this year. I have very few pieces of jewelry, aside from my wedding and engagement ring I don’t have any other pieces that are special and dear to me. This is mainly because I don’t really like wearing jewelry though especially now that I have an active baby who is always clinging to me and grabbing my hair (lol). I do want something special for Christmas, it doesn’t have to very expensive but I want it to mean something. I won’t need a bronze bar that’s for sure, I prefer a white gold chain and a pendant with my daughters’ name and their birthstones. I have to go look for distributors in my area, hopefully I can find a good deal.
This is the ferris wheel at Luna Park that hubby and my eldest rode when we were there. It provided an even better view of the harbor and of course a huge excitement for our little princess. She wanted to ride the carousel at first but change her mind at the last minute. It was really fun and I’m glad that it was a nice and sunny that day (it had been raining the last two days) so we were able to enjoy our ferry ride.
My aunt has been asking me about life insurance for the past two weeks now (whenever I call back home), this is something important to her since she is a widow and she have two kids to think about. I’m thankful for the abundant information online I was able to give her some useful advice as to how to go about getting one for herself. I told her about equote term life and that she should read everything including the find print before she commits to something like this. It is a long term investment and she should get all her facts straight so she can make a proper decision.
What a stunning view right? This photo was taken by my dear husband while we were at Luna Park. It was a nice sunny day and we had a lovely time there. The park itself was small and most the rides were for older kids so my eldest daughter and my husband only rode the ferris wheel while the sleeping baby and me just sat in one corner facing the beautiful view and soak in all the beauty in front of us.
We went to Darling Harbour to get our iVenture tickets at Harbourside Shopping Centre this afternoon. Guess where my daughter wanted to have late lunch at? Mcdonalds! Oh my you think we can eat at other places since we’re on vacation but sadly I was wrong (lol). Anyway looks like it’s midyear sale here and all shops are having promotions and big discounts, this is not good for my budget. You can buy Uggs at half price and even customize a hat at a discount price. We’re going to have fun here, I can tell.
We are now here in Sydney Australia and we are loving the weather. I really welcome the cold winter season here, we came prepared of course so we won’t freeze. We arrived early in the morning and we stayed at the airport for two hours before deciding to just go to our hotel even though the said check-in time is 2:00pm. It was a great decision because when we arrived at the lobby at around 8:30am we were told that our room was ready, fantastic! We got a one bedroom apartment with a kitchen, washer/dryer, a good sized bathroom, a living area and a balcony. It was really spacious and the girls had lots of room to spread out. The only thing missing was an electric fireplace and we could have stayed in instead of going out that afternoon. We didn’t rush though, we all slept for a few hours and then left the apartment at 1:00pm for some sightseeing. It rained a little but that didn’t stop us, as I said we were prepared so we have umbrellas, and a raincover for the stroller to keep us dry.
More vacation posts coming as the month unfolds
We enjoy dining out a few time each month (it’s always nice when I don’t have to cook and clean up) but we choose places that are family friendly. We have a toddler and well there are times where she’s a little bit cranky and won’t sit still for the entire meal. We love japanese food, if you ask me I can it sushi and sashimi everyday. We like going to Sushi Tei a lot, the food are reasonably priced and I also like their Restaurant System, it is pretty straightforward and convenient. My daughter who is a picky eater enjoys her miso soup and tofu as well so I’m happy with that too.
