My mom is currently looking for a new refrigerator to replace the one that was damaged by the flood (caused by typhoon Ondoy). They got it working again after all the flood water was cleaned but I guess there was something with the refrigerator water filters among other parts that would never work like before. So now she’s comparing brands at department stores, I told her she should get an energy efficient refrigerator to save on electricity. They don’t need a huge one either since it’s just her, my sister and the helper in the house. I wouldn’t buy a big one myself, so I told her get one that would be roomy enough for a week worth of groceries.
I’ve never had a chance to use my SSS back home. I got one after I graduated but I lost that piece of paper containing my SSS number so I have no idea what it is. Anyway I’ve never worked back home, my first job is here and I didn’t need one. I haven’t even thought about this until my friend asked if I know something about social security disability (which I don’t). I told her I will look into it. Monday is always a busy day for me. Lots of household chores to do, weekends always make the house a bit disorganized so Monday is my time to tidy up. I thinking of going to Ikea later this afternoon but tomorrow seems to be a better day for that.
Less than two weeks til my little girl’s birthday

We watched this movie in 3D today at Suntec City. I must say that GV cinemas are much better than EW (which is the theatre in Suntec). I will keep this in mind and would probably start watching at GV theatres from now on, there’s not much leg room in EW…when you have shopping bags to stow under your seat this is important and I had a few today which made it tricky for others to pass our seats since there wasn’t much space. We didn’t plan on watching a movie today since movie tickets are slightly higher on weekends) so I was thinking maybe Tuesday would be better, but when Iyah saw the theatre she said “let’s watch a movie” so we gave in. Anyway the movie was good, we liked it. It was funny and the animation was great. Iyah loved the scene when there was ice cream scoops on top of the houses (it was so colorful). She’s used to watching movies now that I don’t worry that she will cry or something inside the theatre. The 3d glassed bugged her a little because it was big for her but other than that she’s fine. This means more movie dates for us in the near future.
It’s been four months since we moved to our own home and it’s only now that I’m thinking about Free Moving Announcements and house warming invitations. We didn’t really need to make a moving announcement at that time but everyone loves a party so we’ll have one.
I love our home. I love the environment here, our neighbors are nice and everything we need is just around the corner. I love that it is quiet here and our view is fantastic. We’re still in the process of decorating but I’d like to take our time to find pieces that we love for our house. We got the basics covered and I’m pleased with the furniture we bought. My little girl loves it here too.

I found these retro looking pots at Etsy and I thought the colors are fun. These will definitely brighten up any kitchen. Although I don’t think it would fit the modern look I want for our kitchen one or two of these won’t be bad I guess. I got a notification for these items on my email as well as an article about Blue Cross NC among other things, sometimes I they end up in my spam folder (which reminds me that I should check more often because sometimes legitimate emails end up being considered as spam). Anyway there’s more fun retro/vintage items on Etsy and I love browsing their virtual store aisles admiring them. My pots are the boring ones you get at Ikea, I wish I can find pots like this here.
My mom wanted to to find her a local supplier for affordable outdoor lighting. The lights on our front gate died on them last week and I think it’s beyond repair thus they need a new one. I told her I would ask friends around and see if they know someone. I don’t need this type of lighting her since we live in an apartment building and there’s lights on the hallway so I don’t have a clue what is a good brand. She wanted something similar to what they have now but in a warm yellow light (they use to have white I think). I plan to go to Ikea next week to pick up a few stuff for the little girl’s party maybe I’ll check there and see what they have.
I am hoping to get more traffic in my blogs. I don’t know much about seo tool so I’m planning to do a bit of research online. Oh I have to add this on my to do list, I have a lot of things to do this week. My little girl’s birthday is only a few weeks away so I’m busy preparing for that. This is why I need a to do list so I can keep track of everything and make sure I have time to finish tasks and the preparation for the party.
I know it’s still a few months away but a teacher friend of mine is already planning to design College Graduation Announcements for her graduating class for this school year.
She said it is still the same excitement whenever she sees her students go up the stage to receive their diplomas. Planning for the graduation invitation and distributing graduation announcement is one of her favorite part of the process. It gives her a sense of pride watching her students reach a milestone in their life. I remember my graduation and how happy I was when I walked up that stage. I remember how happy my parents where and how I was glad that my loved ones were there to share in my joy.
We went to Tampines central last Monday, the perfect end to our long weekend
It was Iyah’s first time to go there, hubby thought it would be nice to go somewhere different for a change. It seems he was tired of going to the same malls all the time (lol). We had a nice time there and we did a little bit of shopping too.
Since we already had lunch we decided to have an afternoon snack when we reached the mall.

J.CO was the first place that caught our eyes, doughnuts and coffee….of course I’m there. They have yogurt too so I ordered one too with fresh fruits for toppings. My husband is not a fan of yogurt so I finished it by myself. Iyah loved the doughnuts of course and so did hubby. We went shopping afterwards. The mall have lots of interesting shops, from clothing to gift shops and toy stores. I got 2 more presents for Iyah while hubby got some items for the home theatre (don’t ask me what because I have no idea).
After heading home of course we had to go from dinner. We went Say Cheeze, it was our first time dining there too. The food was okay, nothing special but it wasn’t bad too. Hubby said his burger was great. I had baked salmon risotto and Iyah had a kiddie meal. The price was reasonable and the staff were efficient.
Overall it was a nice day at the mall. I’m planning to go back there because of the newly opened Disney store. I’m going to pick up a few things for Iyah for her birthday.
It’s that time of the year when we make our wish list for the exchange gift. I don’t have anything in mind really, I just thought about this tonight when I draw the name of my baby who is…..secret (lol).
Time to add some new books to my stash, I wanted light hearted and fun so these would be nice…

These are Sophie Kinsella’s books that I don’t have yet (it would be nice to complete my collection).

These are the opposite of Sophie’s books and I’d probably cry get teary eyed reading these books which would get a lot of teasing from my husband but I’d be happy to receive these as well (I know I haven’t read The Time Traveler’s Wife yet, I’m lame).
The prices are in Singapore dollars because it is a local store so it would be easier to shop. My mommy can pay through paypal too, only she have to sign up for an account to shop. Of course these are also available at amazon if my mommy prefer to shop there

Last item on my wishlist. Love this scent. I found another local store, shipping is free for this item (I think) and the site accepts paypal.
Thanks in advance mommy!
